PROLOGUE I

"We are torn between a nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, we are homesick most for the places we have never known" - Carson McCullers

This piece explores the journey of Pippa Bacca in her pursuit of peace. However, the harsh reality unfolded tragically as Pippa was subjected to rape and ultimately lost her life. As a result, this work raises profound inquiries regarding human benevolence, moral principles, the pervasive influence of abuse, and the importance of establishing boundaries. Through the use of allegorical and metaphorical elements, the piece delves into the concept of stoicism and challenges religious ideologies by examining their potential for mutual assistance or, conversely, their capacity to inflict harm upon one another.
